CNY residents often joke that there are two seasons in Syracuse; winter and construction. However, the 2012 winter season in Syracuse has mimicked late summer and the many construction projects happening around the Syracuse University campus have benefited as a result.

New Look for SU Law Facebook

All Facebook fan pages, including the Syracuse Law fan page, will convert to the new Facebook Timeline format on March 30, 2012. Fans can expect better access to photos, the most popular apps and features and a full SU Law timeline!

Disability Law Society Receives Chancellor's Award for Public Engagement and Scholarship

The Disability Law Society is a recipient of this year's Chancellor's Award for Public Engagement and Scholarship. This award is given each year to students and student groups that exemplify the "highest idea of sustained quality engagement with citizens in our community." Almost 25 law alumni attended the second annual Law Dialog in DC to discuss The Real Blood Diamond Story on Friday, March 2, 2012.

Spotlight On...Jeannine McSweeney '06

Associate, Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP

Jeannine McSweeney L'06 has joined the New York City office of the law firm of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP. Her practice focuses on Executive Compensation and Employee Benefits. Before joining Simpson Thacher, Jeannine was Vice President, Legal and Compliance at Morgan Stanley. Jeannine was admitted to practice in New York State in 2007 and is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. She was a joint JD and MBA graduate from Syracuse University in 2006. She received her LL.M. in Taxation from New York University in 2008.
