Syracuse law students celebrate 40 years of excellence in oral advocacy with Mackenzie Hughes LLP Competition final round

The Syracuse University College of Law Moot Court Honor Society hosted the 40th annual Mackenzie Hughes LLP, Edmund H. Lewis Appellate Advocacy Competition on April 4. The Mackenzie Hughes competition is one of the most prestigious moot court competitions held at the College of Law.

Lewis, distinguished alumnus of Syracuse University College of Law, who served as a partner with Mackenzie Hughes LLP and as chief judge of the New York State Court of Appeals. Lewis graduated from the College of Law in 1909. As an attorney, he earned a reputation as an exceptional appellate advocate.
