Holiday Greetings from Dean Arterian

Dear Members of the College of Law Community:

As I reflect upon 2012, we have accomplished so much and have great expectations for the months ahead. We celebrated the groundbreaking of Dineen Hall and observe its impressive construction every day. We watched students move in to the new Campus West apartments, just steps away from our law school. Our Law in London program marked its 35th anniversary, and our INSCT program celebrated its first decade of national security research and education.

We welcomed a talented new 1L and inaugural LL.M. class and graduated a promising group of legal professionals. We hired three faculty members and saw some beloved faculty members retire. We had an exciting opportunity to meet with members of the Syracuse Law Korean Alumni Association at one of their dinner meetings in Seoul, South Korea. And, most recently, we cheered for our Trial Teams and Appellate Teams as they continued a tradition of excellence with championship seasons.

It has been a year of change and progress, as well as challenges. We value the relationships we have with each of you and thank you for your loyalty and support. On behalf of everyone at Syracuse Law, I wish you a healthy and joyous holiday season and a peaceful and prosperous new year.

Very truly yours,
Dean Hannah R. Arterian
